This past year we introduced an innovative therapy program that helps students stay on track with their speech and language achievements with a little help from our herd. Kim Grotts, licensed speech and language therapist with Functional Futures, has made a difference in several of her pediatric clients in a short time.

We love working with kids of all abilities and ages, and homeschooling groups are a perfect fit for our riding programs. Weekday sessions are available, and we encourage parents to join in the program as well! It's a great alternative for Physical Education requirements, and teaches leadership, self-confidence, responsibility and of course, improves horsemanship skills :)

Our Veritas Equine Therapy program is now able to offer our behavioral health services to qualified combat AND non-combat Veterans. In addition, we have a weekly Veterans Riding Program.
There are so many reasons I volunteer at Bright Star. My love of horses is just one of them. The atmosphere and positive energy the team provides makes me forget all about my anxieties and problems of the day.
When I'm out there, the horses don't care about the stuff that we are judged on every day. They only want to be loved, just like us!
